Hail, Hail, The Gang’s All Here

This week marks the first time since we became a YG dealer that we have all five “Peak Series” models on display. We’ve typically had four of the five models, but never had both the “Summits” and the similar (but smaller) “Ascents” here at the same time for audition.  As has been the case with all the YGs, voicing is very similar for both models.  As one would expect, the larger Summit plays a bit “bigger“ in large spaces, but that is not to say the smaller Ascent can’t be very satisfying in larger rooms.  Both models have legitimate low bass response – 24 Hz for the Summit and 26 Hz for the Ascent.  In my opinion, they both are excellent values  ($29,800/pair for the Summit and $23,800/pair for the Ascent). 

Like all YG Peak Series models, one may choose between natural Rosewood, Ebony, or Oak, and they’re all beautiful!

In my opinion, the YG Peak Series represent the epitome of great design and ultimate sound quality in their respective price classes.
