Balanced Audio Technology - BAT has two new, built in the USA, power amplifiers that are now being featured in the store, the 150w/channel solid-state VK-255SE ($7495) and the new tube reference REX Power amplifier ($15,000). Listening to these new BAT amps is all you need do to understand why we're so proud to offer them to our clients.
bel canto - An American company based in Minneapolis, bel canto offers a range of terrific, musical-sounding components that feature beautiful, compact industrial design and innovative digital technology. Glenn Poor's has a number of bel canto components currently on display, including the new c5i integrated amplifier ($1895).
LSA - Another American company, LSA manufactures true high-end loudspeakers that perform way beyond the price range. The new .5 ($799) is a "bookshelf size" version of the acclaimed Model 1, and has bass response that belies its compact dimensions. The LSA tube/solid-state integrated amplifiers are also incredible values.
Magnepan - America's premier "planar" loudspeaker company has spent the last year trying to keep up with demand for their two new models: MG-1.7 ($2000, $2100 or $2150 depending on finish) and MG-3.7 ($5495 or $5895 - depending on cosmetic trim). The 1.7 is arguably the greatest value in the high end, while the 3.7 features the same technological achievements with even more extended frequency response and dynamic range.
McIntosh Labs - Our growing "Mac Stack" has several amplifier choices, including the legendary MC275 tube power amplifier ($4500) which sounds glorious driving any number of the loudspeakers we've coupled it to. The new MC452 solid-state power amplifier ($7500) is McIntosh's most powerful stereo amplifier ever, yet has such a delicate, airy sound. The MA6600 integrated amplifier ($6000) is a tremendous value, and, when employing the optional TM-2 HD tuner module ($800), becomes a modern "receiver" of the highest rank. Rega - England's Rega has three new models on display at Glenn Poor's that shouldn't be missed. The new "RP-1" turntable ($445) is in a class of its own, while the new "Brio R" ($895) integrated amp is a very sophisticated, powerful sounding unit that performs well beyond its price range. Rega's DAC ($995) brings a level of sonic sophistication to digital that is unparalleled in this price range.
Wilson Audio - Wilson Audio is America's (and the world's) most prestigious loudspeaker manufacturer. The latest addition to our line-up of Wilson loudspeakers is the Sophia Series 3 ($17,900).
